Distinction between a Christian and a Christian With a Deeper Christian Experience

Deeper Christian Experience

A Deeper Christian Life Experience

A deeper Christian life experience begins when an individual surrenders their life to Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. Hallelujah!

The Starting Point: Salvation

It all begins at the point of recognizing the need for a Saviour and consciously deciding to follow Christ.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is the true beginning of a Christian’s journey. It’s the moment you realize your life is not pleasing to God, and that realization stirs a genuine desire for change. Your past becomes bitter to remember, and you begin to long for a new experience.

As soon as you accept Jesus into your life, you become a new creature with a brand new purpose and reason to live.

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Amen! A new life, a new identity, and a new experience! This is the beginning of your salvation journey. From here, you grow deeper and stronger in Christ.

A Real-Life Example: Paul the Apostle

One of the most powerful examples of transformation is found in the life of Paul, formerly known as Saul of Tarsus.

Saul was a fierce persecutor of Christians. He was present at the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7:58), and he made havoc of the early Church.

Acts 8:1-3
“And Saul was consenting unto his death… Saul made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.”

But God had a plan for Saul. On his way to Damascus to persecute more Christians, he encountered Jesus Christ.

Acts 9:1-5
“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven… And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest…”

This divine encounter changed Saul forever. He became blind for three days until the Lord sent Ananias to restore his sight and fill him with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 9:20
“And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.”

Paul, the former persecutor, became a bold preacher and writer of many New Testament letters. Praise the Lord!

Your Life Can Change Too

No matter how far gone you may think you are in sin, Jesus can reach you and transform your life completely. Just like Paul, you too can become a vessel of honour in God’s hands.

Matthew 11:28
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
